{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"18bd4af2c22318f98cf32148","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/18bd4af2c22318f98cf32148","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/18bd4af2c22318f98cf32148","title":"Material Handler","description":"Now Hiring: Material Handler in Doswell, VA!Job Title: Material HandlerLocation: Doswell, VA 23047Shift:2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:00am3rd shift: Sunday - Friday, 11:00pm - 7:00am3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00am - 8:00amTraining Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pmHourly Rate: $18-20/hrJob Responsibilities of Material Handler :The Material Handler/ General Helper is an entry-level position and is expected to operate forklift, pole truck, clamp truck and assist in other machine operations.Work, act, think, and converse in terms of improving quality and eliminating waste in his/her process.Understand the compliance of safety, environmental and quality policies for forklift and clamp truck operations that you would be trained in.Stop any operation that is not producing product to customer expectations or if in violation of approved quality and safety standards.Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine that is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up of Quality System.Coordinate inter-plant shipments, transfer raw materials, finished goods and packaging materials.Must be able to work efficiently and seamlessly with other divisions to drive improvements.Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member.Education and Experience of Material Handler :High school diploma or GED certificate preferredGood math skills and mechanical aptitudeRequirements for Material Handler:Basic computer and math skills.Must have mechanical aptitude.Forklift, pole truck and clamp truck operations.A demonstrated history of learning and applying new information and technology.Proficient in communicating in the English language (both verbal and written).Ability to work well in a team environment.Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs.Capable of sitting / standing for long periods of time.Must be available for any shiftwork, including evening/overnight shifts.The Lee Group is driven by our purpose and passion - Aligning talent, Growing Businesses and Changing Lives!
