This role can be located in Torrance, CA or Salt Lake City, UT.\nDepartment: Moog’s Military Aircraft Group\nResponsibilities Contribute to the development of new electronic product requirements through consulting with customers and system engineers\nPerform trade studies and analyses to validate conceptual designs\nPerform high speed digital circuit design including schematic capture and specifying printed circuit board design requirements (placement constraints, trace parameters, routing layer constraints)\nDevelop firmware for FPGAs that work with electronics, sensors, electro-hydraulic actuators, electromechanical components, and communication links for actuation systems or avionics equipment\nConduct prototype testing, integration testing, and design verification and validation testing\nDocument design, analysis, and verification results with accurate and concise reports\nProvide formal technical presentations to internal and external customers to support program review and business development\nSpecify and support design of lab test setups\nQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering\n7+ years of professional work experience in design and development engineering\n5+ years of digital design expertise including modern microprocessors / DSPs, high speed digital logic, FPGA, memory, analog-to-digital, digital-to-analog converters, and communication links\nKnowledge of board design and layout including design tools\n5+ years of experience with VHDL or Verilog coding\nExperience designing test benches and simulations using digital simulation tools (e.g., Questa, Active-HDL) for verification of FPGA designs\nAnalysis expertise including power dissipation, timing, signal integrity, component derating, and Built-In Test coverage\nThis position requires access to United States export-controlled information.\nPreferred qualifications Aerospace or Defense industry experience\nExperience developing design in accordance with DO-254\nExpertise with HyperLynx to analyze signal integrity\n5+ years of experience with VHDL coding is desirable\nExperience with Allegro Capture and Allegro PCB\nCompensation and benefits Salary: Torrance, CA $150,000.00-$200,000.00 annually\nSalary Range Transparency: This base salary range is location dependent; actual salaries vary by location, experience, and performance\nFinancial rewards: competitive compensation, annual profit sharing, 401(k) with match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nWork/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays, parental leave, relocation assistance\nHealth & Welfare: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP and other benefits\nProfessional development: Tuition assistance, mentorship, leadership development\nThis position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.\nEOE/AA Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Veteran\nMoog is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
