{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"189e7e8fec132e18d729f7d8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/189e7e8fec132e18d729f7d8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/189e7e8fec132e18d729f7d8","title":"Program Manager","description":"SUMMIT AVIATION, INC.\r\nPOSITION DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION\r\nPOSITION TITLE: Program Manager DATE: June 2026\r\nFLSA STATUS: Exempt DEPT: Government\r\nLOC: Delaware\r\nPOSITION SUMMARY\r\nThe Program Manager reports to the Director of Program Management and is responsible for leading all efforts associated with the Government programs of USG-DoD aircraft as required; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nProvide point of contact with customers for their organizations.\r\nInterface with government and platform flight testing personnel, resolving conflicts as needed.\r\nCoordinate with customer associates and external Hardware and Software developers and systems IT personnel to ensure all components necessary for the test flights are in place and functional.\r\nManage department schedules ensuring aircraft availability, configuration and completion.\r\nResponsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and systems and project planning for correcting defects and modifications.\r\nCoordinates efforts of additional staff with management to ensure manpower.\r\nEnsures the implementation of the Program Plan and acts as a Government Administrator to satisfy the FAR/Customer requirements.\r\nEstablishes and maintains the program master schedule. The schedule shall include engineering releases, GFE deliveries, purchased and fabricated parts requirements, installation tasks and activities required to effectively manage program progress, performance and cost.\r\nTracks and reports aircraft modification performance against the baseline plan.\r\nWorks closely with all program-contributing organizations to eliminate impacts to achieving performance goals.\r\nWorks to develop and implement Earned Value Management metrics to track program status against cost and schedule objectives.\r\nReceives and analyzes performance variance reports and report results to the Director.\r\nSupports the monthly financial performance review.\r\nProvides reports as required by the Director.\r\nResponsible for ensuring contract reporting requirements are provided as required by the statement of work.\r\nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\r\nMust have Bachelor's degree and ten to fifteen years of experience in general aviation required or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\nTen years related experience to include experience in aircraft completions, modifications, certifications, and maintenance management. Government systems knowledge/experience is required.\r\nMust have outstanding oral and written communication skills to include: a) Creation/preparation of briefing charts and detailed correspondence/documents. b) Verbally expressing ideas and thoughts in joint meetings/formal briefings with staff.\r\nDetailed knowledge of aircraft/airfield terminology and aircraft systems operations/functions required.\r\nFamiliarization with FAA certification requirements is required.\r\nA&P License preferred.\r\nMust have strong managerial abilities.\r\nMust be able to focus on key tasks, prioritize duties, and manage multiple priorities.\r\nMust have strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.\r\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.\r\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\r\nThis position requires the ability to work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time, perform office and clerical duties including use of office tools.\r\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT\r\nThe working environment is corporate office facility.
