Our success is directly tied to our clients’ success.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced M&A IT Project Director to oversee a large-scale IT systems integration for a recently acquired 128-bed hospital and related facilities within a large healthcare system. The IT Project Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and onboarding of IT systems.The Project Director will be supported by a team of workstream-focused Project Managers with individual areas of focus, including Epic, third-party applications, testing, Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR), training, and other key workstreams. Project plans and RIDAC will be managed in ServiceNow, with Epic Orion leveraged for build tracking. Weekly Status Reports (WSR), Progress Reports (PR), and other recurring reports must be managed according to required publishing timelines.Project ScopeThe hospital transitioned to the health system’s Epic instance within a separate service area in October 2025. As part of this program, the hospital will be rebuilt into the health system’s primary service area, and ambulatory providers will transition to new companies.The organization will transition from its legacy ALab Laboratory Information System to Epic Beaker, with a dedicated Project Manager overseeing this workstream. The organization will also transition from its current clinical and business third-party applications to enterprise-standard platforms for PACS, ADS, and other systems.Additionally, the project will include the migration of network infrastructure, end-user devices, servers and storage, and the cybersecurity technology stack. The project timeline is 10 months, spanning November 2026 through August 2027.ResponsibilitiesManage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables for a large-scale IT M&A integration project.Lead and manage a team of Project Managers and analysts in a complex, fast-paced environment.Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.Scope projects and manage and negotiate vendor contracts for IT system integrations.Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Use problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve project issues.Lead IT system migrations, transitions, and integrations, preferably within an Epic environment.Develop and implement change management strategies that address the cultural and operational shifts associated with IT system integrations.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.PMP certification or an equivalent certification is strongly preferred.Proven experience in vendor contract management, including the negotiation, review, and administration of contracts with suppliers and vendors.Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a Project Director capacity leading mergers and acquisitions involving IT system integrations, specifically within the hospital or healthcare sector.Experience managing the following migration workstreams:Infrastructure, including end-user computing, telecommunications, networks, servers, and storageSecurityBusiness applicationsClinical applicationsElectronic Medical RecordsExperience working with a large healthcare system with multi-state operations.Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.Self-starter with a humble approach who can ask difficult questions and proactively obtain answers when information is not readily available.Collaborative leadership style with a willingness to work with other leaders and reach decisions collectively.Comfortable serving as a hands-on individual contributor when needed and delegating responsibilities to subordinate Project Managers when appropriate.Seasoned Project Director with strong executive presence and the ability to communicate risks, status updates, and outcomes to executive leaders.Demonstrated organizational change management experience, including developing and implementing change strategies, engaging employees, and supporting smooth transitions during IT integrations.Ability to scale working hours as needed to meet project and timeline demands.Previous experience with Epic in an Implementation Director capacity is preferred.DetailsWork Type: Remote; candidates must be willing to work Central Time Zone business hours.Travel: Occasional travel for major milestones, including project kickoff, GLRA, go-live, and other defined milestones.
