Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, first-piece inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.\nThe ideal candidate has experience in mechanical inspection, is proficient with precision measuring equipment, and can accurately interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. You will maintain accurate inspection records and ensure all required certifications and documentation are complete before products are released for shipment.\nYou will use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, verniers, height stands, gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify product dimensions and quality. You will also help maintain inspection fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices to ensure accurate measurements and reliable documentation.\nAdditional responsibilities include preparing shipping documentation, assisting with loading and unloading materials as needed, performing receiving inspections, and occasionally making deliveries to customers or vendors. You will also support general housekeeping and other departmental duties as assigned.\nWe are looking for someone who has:\nOne to two years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.\nExperience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and height stands.\nFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).\nExperience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions while working under general supervision.\nCommitment to meeting production schedules while maintaining the highest quality standards.\nRequirements\nThis position requires the ability to:\nDistinguish colors when required for inspection activities.\nDetect small burrs and defects as small as .010\" with the naked eye (corrective lenses acceptable).\nAccurately read precision measuring equipment including micrometers and vernier scales.\nHear normal conversation (hearing aids acceptable).\nFrequently use precision measuring tools and hand inspection equipment.\nDemonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.\nMove throughout a manufacturing environment safely.\nWhy Join APS Tech LLC?\nOur success is built on the drive, dedication, and integrity of our employees.
