Determination of stress levels in primary and secondary aircraft structure, systems, and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads, as well as the comparison of these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities given due consideration to applicable failure theories.\n\nEssential Functions:\nGenerate free body diagrams\nDetermine reaction forces, calculate internal loads, and develop shear and moment diagrams\nPredict internal stresses and structural instabilities in aircraft structure\nAutomation of repetitive analytical tasks\nDocument and report analysis results\nClear and effective cummunication, working well in a team environment.\nMust be able to travel as necessary.\nMust be able to obtain a security clearance.\nMust be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.\n\nQualifications:\nBSME, BSAE, BSCE and minimum 8 years of aircraft structural analysis, design and test.\nMSME, MSAE and minimum 7 years of aircraft structural analysis, design and test.\nIn lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related structural analysis, design and test experience.\nDemonstrated experience in finite element modeling and analyses codes.\nDemonstrated experience with MSC NASTRAN and MSC PATRAN or FEMAP.\n\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience analyzing composite primary structures.\nExperience in MatLab/Simulink a plus.\nExperience with FAA and/or Military certification requirements.\n\n#LI-AM2\nL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
