This position is responsible for staffing, supervising and developing non-exempt employees in a clean room manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor sets and monitors WIP priorities to meet production goals and continuously improve upon production systems. They must also support Microchip's Guiding Values while monitoring, evaluating and providing performance feedback to Production Specialists.\nJob responsibilities include:\nSupervising Production Specialists in a fast paced clean-room manufacturing facility\nFlex work schedule to accommodate production operations\nMonitor and take appropriate action to meet production goals in a manner consistent with Microchip's Guiding Values and Fab 4 culture\nPerform administrative duties such as record keeping, Workday timekeeping validation, training, performance evaluation, employee development and employee discipline\nEffectively lead and drive continuous and quality related improvements, cost reduction measures and barrier removal teams\nActively engage in project management responsibilities and support a wide range of production group projects\nAdhere to and support clean-room and safety requirements\nRequired qualifications include:\n3+ years of supervisory (direct and/or direct lead) experience\nKnowledge of manufacturing operations\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nMust demonstrate effective leadership skills, particularly in the performance management and career development of Production Specialists\nAbility to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task\nKnowledgeable in employee engagement and team building skills\nKnowledge of professional ethics, including confidentiality policy\nCreative thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills\nStrong organization, documentation and writing skills\nEffective communicator to a wide range of groups, including written, oral, public speaking and presentation skills\nComputer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, internet access and E-mail\nRegular and predictable attendance\nPreferred qualifications include:\nBS/BA degree\nSupervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment\nSpecial qualifications include:\nMay need to attend work related meetings on unscheduled days\nCritical physical requirements include:\nAble to lift 20 lbs; push, pull approximately 50 lbs; carry 20 lbs; sit 60%; stand 20%; walk 20%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
