CPH has an opening for the following position:\n\nEntry-level (EIT) or Mid-Level Project Engineer\n\nCPH is looking for a strong and talented Entry-level/Mid-level Project Engineer for their team in Columbia, SC. This person will be responsible for directing the engineering design team in development projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through successful completion. The role involves coordinating the efforts of the engineering team, contractors, and vendors to achieve project goals efficiently. The Entry-level (EIT) or Mid-Level Project Engineer will ensure all aspect of the project execution, from planning to final delivery are met within budget and meeting the required quality standards.\n\nDuties/Responsibilities:\n\nLead/ manage the planning, design, and production of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget.\n\nUses team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client’s standards and templates.\n\nDirects development of an action plan and estimates requirements for resources management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project.\n\nDevelopment of technical specifications, evaluation of shop drawings, and oversight of construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record.\n\nAssesses vendors for competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status.\n\nMonitors progress of development project and compares actual costs with estimates.\n\nWorks with design group to modify plans as appropriate if problems arise.\n\nPrepares monthly reports, detailing progress, and costs for next level management.\n\nReviews and studies existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.\n\nPeriodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.\n\nCooperates with project engineers from other plants to share similar supervision and support in consolidating construction plans across all disciplines and coordinating submissions to regulatory agencies.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision, Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.\n\nAbility to effectively lead and inspire a team.\n\nComfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.\n\nExcellent oral, written and organizational skills.\n\nAbility to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets.\n\nStrict adherence to deadlines.\n\nKnowledge of codes and design and construction practices.\n\nDetail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nB.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with EIT or mid-level experience with ability to swiftly receive P.E. License in the state of South Carolina. Ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus.\n\nExperience in a consulting engineering firm.\n\nProficiency in REVIT is required.
