In this role, you will provide daily, direct support to a Multiple Abilities teacher, helping to implement individualized educational plans, foster a supportive learning environment, and assist students with diverse academic, behavioral, and physical needs.Key ResponsibilitiesTeacher Support: Work collaboratively with the Multiple Abilities teacher to implement daily lesson plans, modify instructional materials, and reinforce classroom routines.Direct Student Assistance: Provide small-group or one-on-one instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support tailored to individual student needs.Daily Care & Safety: Assist students with daily living skills, mobility, and transitions throughout the school day, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, structured, and predictable classroom environment using positive behavior intervention strategies.Supervision: Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, recess, and other scheduled non-instructional times.Position Details & ScheduleHours: 7.5 hours per dayDaily Schedule Breakdown:TimeAssignment7:30 AM - 8:00 AMArrival Duty8:00 AM - 2:45 AMClassroom Support w/ 30 Minute Unpaid Lunch2:45 AM - 3:30 PMDismissal DutyQualifications & RequirementsCertification: Must have obtained (or be eligible to obtain) the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) certification / Ohio Educational Aide Permit.High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree or 48 semester hours of higher education preferred).Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly those with special needs, is highly preferred.Strong communication, patience, and collaborative teamwork skills.Internal Applicants: All internal candidates interested in this position must submit their application within 3 business days from the posting date.
