Community Support Liaison

Salary Schedule: Health Services - 183 Days; 7.5 Hours Per DayDepartment: Student ServicesReports To: Director of Student ServicesLocation: Special ServicesGeneral Description Of JobThe community liaison will assist the school social worker in meeting various needs of identified students and families. Acts as a liaison between schools and community to further the academic success of students.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesWork extensively with community agencies in accessing resourcesFoster positive relationship between school, home and communityRefer students and families to outside agencies Collaborate with community organizations to meet needs of student/familyCommunicate with students and family as needed Assist social worker with further responsibilities as needed Coordinate food distributionsInventory, stock and distribute food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, etc.Coordinate volunteersMaintain confidentiality SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills requiredAbility to build community connections and relationshipsPhysically- Requires the ability to lift 40 lbs.Ability to drive small box truck.Education And ExperienceHigh School DiplomaDemonstrate ability to work with the community at large
