Assist in sample collection and prepare specimens for analysis as required. Thoroughly document all processes, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain high lab quality standards. Ensure a clean, safe work environment by adhering to regulatory and accreditation requirements. Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree in preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment. Maintaining certification throughout employment is mandatory. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities for effective teamwork with healthcare colleagues.
