The design engineer will be an integral part of a team dedicated to audio visual system design. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.\nPrimary Role\nCreate audio-visual systems for board rooms, conference rooms, training centers, collaboration spaces and more based on a review of customers’ needs.\nDetailed Activities Create detailed drawings and proposals incorporating innovative technologies from manufacturers such as Samsung, Planar, Sony, Barco, NVIDIA, Christie Digital, Crestron, Poly, and Microsoft Teams.\nAssist technicians in the field with installations and commissioning as needed.\nAssist with sales opportunities by providing technical expertise and performing site surveys.\nMaintain IGI quality expectations.\nRecognize and adjust to customer needs.\nAbility to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities.\nComplete tasks within the allotted time or faster, making effective use of time.\nEffective communication with clients and colleagues.\nQualifications Associates or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 2 years design experience within the corporate audio/visual industry.\nKnowledge of audio, video, and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements.\nKnowledgeable with Crestron and AMX.\nProficient with Microsoft Office (Visio and D-tools a plus).\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as professional appearance.\nValid driving license and clean driving record.\nMust be located AND authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.\nCertifications (a plus but not required) AVIXA CTS-D (required).\nAVIXA CTS-I (preferred).\nDante Level 1 and 2 (preferred).\nTravel Rare if any local or out of state/overnight travel.\nWork Hours Normal work hours for the Audio Visual Design Engineer job are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.\nPay Salary range is $67,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.\nAdditional Information The Audio Visual Design Engineer and ALL our employees are the most important asset driving our continued success and our culture places great value in hard work, moral integrity, and mutual respect.
