This role is responsible for analyzing current production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The senior engineer will mentor other engineers and work closely with various departments including plant leadership and hourly production personnel. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.\r\nEssential Functions:\r\nEffectively lead project teams.\r\nUnderstand processing capabilities and tolerances (plastics).\r\nAnalyze work standards to improve labor utilization.\r\nAbility to analyze complex data sets to drive improvements in process and operations.\r\nAbility to teach and train Lean and Six Sigma concepts (DMAIC).\r\nLead or support new equipment specification, design, installation, commissioning, and qualification activites.\r\nOther Functions\r\nConceptualize and develop prototype solutions and designs.\r\nDefine appropriate technical approaches to solve problems and develop solutions.\r\nConnect projects to P&L Statement.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nSuccess in this role will require\r\nProficient use of MES and ERP systems.\r\nCompetence of Plastics Manufacturing (materials and molds).\r\nAbility to mentor young engineers.\r\nSystems Thinking\r\nConflict Management\r\nInfluence Skills\r\nWhat You'll Bring\r\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering\r\n8+ years of engineering experience (in manufacturing preferred)\r\nInjection molding expertise preferred\r\nProject Management Skills\r\nKnowledge of the Toyota Production System (Lean Manufacturing)\r\nSix Sigma (preferred) or Green Belt Certified\r\nMust have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\r\n#LI-MS1 #LI-Onsite\r\nBy applying for a position with HellermannTyton, you understand that should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check through the use of our 3rd party supplier.
