Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.\n\nJob Summary:\nThe Process Engineer position exists to support the VCM plant's daily operations and comply with the goals of production, quality, training, yearly/monthly budget, cost reports, safety, environmental, plant start-up,\nplant shutdowns, regular operation, improvement projects/expansion management.\n\nResponsibilities/ Duties:\n\nDesign an ethylene dichloride cracking furnace for the production of vinyl chloride monomer.\nDesign and implement a heat recovery vaporizer to reduce water and energy consumption.\nDesign and implement an oxy reactor train to improve reaction efficiency and lower maintenance cost.\nDesign and implement a wastewater stripping tower system to enhance the removal of pollutants.\nDesign and implement a cooling water tower system to improve heat transfer performance and water reuse efficiency.\nDesign and implement a relief valve discharge system to improve the incinerator combustion performance.\nDesign and test a hydrochloric acid production incinerator.\nDesign and implement a heavy ends column heat recovery system. Conduct hazard and operability analysis.\nJob Requirements:\nB.S. Degree in Chemical engineering or Chemistry.
