Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This position supports a strategic initiative to modernize the client's Market-Linked Investments trading platform across Equity, Currency, Commodity, and Rates-Linked Notes. Sitting within Wealth Management Trading Technology, the role focuses on building scalable, resilient platforms using innovative technologies to support growing business demands. The ideal candidate is an experienced, driven developer who thrives in complex, high-performance trading environments.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deliver complex end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectivesParticipate in and influence architecture and future design decisions, including adoption of modern development patternsEnsure software solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirementsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews and design reviews to deliver high-quality, reusable, and maintainable codeDesign and develop RESTful services, backend components, and UI featuresCreate unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of application interfacesTranslate high-level business and architectural requirements into detailed, actionable technical tasksProduce and maintain high-level and component-level design documentationWork effectively within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure timely and high-quality software deliveryRequirements:Over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer specializing in J2EE technologiesProven full-stack development experience using Java, React/Angular, Node.js, and relational databasesExperience with frameworks including Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), JDBC, JMS, and SOAP/RESTful APIsSolid understanding of Message-Oriented Middleware (Kafka, JMS, MQ) and event-driven architecturesHands-on experience implementing microservices architectures, with exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization/automation (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong expertise in application logging, caching strategies, transaction management, multi-threading and concurrency, performance tuning, and monitoringAble to work independently with minimal supervisionDesired skills:Exposure to Wealth Management Domain with knowledge on Fixed Income trading flowsPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
