We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.\nPay:\nStarting salary is dependent on experience.\nGeneral Purpose:\nOversees the maintenance and construction of the golf course and ensures that turfgrass is repaired and maintained to established standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPrepares and maintains the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.\nPlans, organizes, and directs the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.\nSupervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plants.\nEnsures that maintenance equipment is properly maintained.\nProcures supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.\nMaintains records of annual maintenance activities and costs; prepares reports.\nImplements sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible.\nReconciles and provides timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents.\nEnsures all company policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with government regulations.\nEnsures that all associates obtain proper training and licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations. Directly addresses all real or perceived environmental concerns.\nEnsures proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemicals and fertilizers used on the course.\nManages department members who may include, but are not limited to: Assistant Superintendent, 2nd Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician.\nEnsures that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate; develops ongoing training programs.\nMaintains regular and reliable attendance.\nIncorporates safe work practices in job performance.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAbility to read and speak English is required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., the associate is required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and the manuals for the equipment that the associate may use are in English).\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nEducation and Experience:\nAssociate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to four years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
