Spanish Interpreter - As needed

This position is on an as-needed basis.The person in this position is under the general supervision of the Special Programs Director and is responsible for oral and written interpretation/translation. This person will primarily be needed for interpretation of spoken language (i.e. English to Spanish and Spanish to English), rapidly and with proficiency, during parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and/or hearings. This person should have the ability to communicate accurately and effectively when parents do not speak English.Qualifications RequiredAbility to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish;Demonstrated ability to translate, both orally and in writing from English to Spanish and Spanish to English;Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, administrators, students, parents, and patrons;Responsibility to know, understand, and adhere to all District policies;Ability to maintain student confidentiality.Qualifications DesiredExperience working in public school.Junction City School District is committed to building a diverse staff that is fully representative of our students and community.
