Animal Care Specialist

The person for this job will love rescuing animals, knowing it can be an emotionally challenging job. They will be required to work 7:30am-4pm and are expected to arrive on time. They will be working both inside and outside, with dogs ranging from 1 LB-100 lbs +. They will also be working with cats. They will work with both healthy and sick pets, friendly and aggressive pets, and a small team of people. Animal Care Specialists clean kennels, walk dogs, socialize animals, match pets with adopters, monitor the pets’ health, and pitch in as a team when needed. It is hard, dirty work, but it is also very rewarding. The person who gets this job will have excellent customer service, proven loyalty in previous employment history, a strong work ethic, and a passion for making a difference in their community.
