The Repairs Engineer has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelops repairs for aerospace components (PMA, DER, ERP, OOP)\nDevelops and applies creative solutions to all forms of problems including engineering, technology, supply chain, communication, process flow\nUses standard measurement tools such as a micrometer, caliper, depth gage, thread gage, radius gage, comparator, CMM / Precision Arm to gather dimensional data\nPerforms or determines correct material composition / analysis requirements\nCreates 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data\nPrepares written procedures for test equipment and test plans, develops or assists with development of test equipment\nSources appropriate vendors, organizes / executes quote requirements and quotes data\nManages multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously\nCreates drawings, reports, data packages to submit for approval to FAA and Customers\nOther duties may be assigned\nOther Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nCapable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, CMMs, customer specifications, and procedure manuals\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry\nCapacity to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations\nGood written and oral communication skills\nOrganized and Detail oriented\nAbility to work with and draw from a variety of materials and technical applications\nDemonstrated design experience of mechanical or electrical components\nComputer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and Wencor production ERP system (Quantum)\nStrong experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred\nExperience with FAA DER process, FAA certification process of PMA parts, experience with FAA regulatory guidance applicable to PMA parts.\nRequirements:\nEducation /Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering\n1-2 years minimum applicable design experience and training.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience.\nOther Qualifications:\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
