This role also prepares finished products for shipment by removing defective items, verifying quality standards, and packing goods accurately in designated containers. Responsibilities also include labeling products correctly, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nThird Shift runs Monday through Friday, 10:45pm to 7:15am.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot Arpeco and Rewind Table equipment, ensuring optimal performance.\nStack and organize finished goods into appropriate containers in accordance with company standards.\nPerform visual and manual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before packaging. Report any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor.\nEfficiently pack products into boxes, or other containers, ensuring they are securely wrapped and appropriately labeled for shipment.\nIdentify and remove defective products to maintain quality standards.\nTransport completed packages for loading using approved power industrial equipment.\nMaintain accurate records of packed items, including quantities, product descriptions, and shipment details.\nEnsure all documentation is up-to-date and filed correctly.\nPromptly report safety, quality, productivity, or personnel concerns to the Team Leader.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area. Ensure that packing stations are free from debris and that all tools and supplies are stored properly.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nEducation and/or Experience\nThe minimum education required for this position is a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).\n\nKey Competencies\nCommunication Skills\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety guidelines, documentation, short correspondence, and memos\nAbility to write simple correspondence\nAbility to communicate clearly with team members and leadership when issues arise\n\nMathematical Skills\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals\n\nComputer Skills\nBasic computer skills are preferred.\n\nAdditional Preferred Skills and Qualifications\nPrevious experience in a packing or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and safety focus\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy\nAbility to adapt to fast-paced environments\nMust be able to maintain good attendance.\n\nPhysical Demands\nStand, walk, carry, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use manual dexterity\nGrasp, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; 50 pounds occasionally\nRequired to load product onto pallets which includes bending and twisting during a shift\nProduct will be moved throughout plant using manual or electric pallet jacks. This will require pushing and pulling to move product\nMandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE)\n\nWork Environment\nRewind/Packers are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and frequently encounter fumes or airborne particles. While the manufacturing area is climate controlled, employees may experience relatively warm or cold temperatures throughout the year.
