The Head Coach will lead all aspects of the program — from player development and game strategy to culture-building and communication with families — while upholding the values and standards of Poly Athletics. This is a part-time, seasonal coaching position.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee all varsity baseball operations, including practice planning, in-game strategy, and roster management\nRecruit, evaluate, and develop student-athletes across skill levels, from varsity-ready players to those still building fundamentals\nCoordinate with the JV/Middle School coaching staff to ensure a consistent player-development pipeline throughout the program\nModel and enforce standards of sportsmanship, discipline, and academic priority consistent with school policy\nCommunicate regularly and professionally with student-athletes, parents, and school administration\nManage practice and game schedules in coordination with the Athletics Department\nEnsure proper use, care, and inventory of equipment and facilities\nSupport team fundraising, community engagement, and program visibility (e.g., social media, banquet events) in partnership with Athletics Communications\nEnsure compliance with league, section, and school safety and eligibility policies\nAttend required coaches' meetings and trainings (CPR/First Aid, concussion protocol, etc.)\nEngage robustly in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote a healthy learning environment\nWillingness to take on other duties as needed\nPrior coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or competitive club level preferred\nStrong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development techniques\nDemonstrated ability to work with and mentor high-school-aged student-athletes\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nCurrent or willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete background clearance\nBachelor's degree required; teaching experience a plus\nDemonstrated experience creating inclusive learning environments and opportunities\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\n\nIn order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, Poly will recruit, hire, train, and promote faculty and staff without regard to an individual’s race, color, sex, gender identity, genetic information, sexual orientation (including heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality), national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, uniformed service member status, marital status, pregnancy, age, medical condition and physical or mental disability (whether perceived or actual), or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws.
