Oregon St. El Paso, TX 79932 Building: A Floor: 3rd Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 631 Discipline: Telemetry Quantity: Target Start Date: Shift: Call Requirements: None Weekends: Yes, 2 per payperiod General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 24 Number of Staff – 41 Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 CN: 5 RNs: 2 PCTs Night Shift – 1 CN: 5 RNs: 2 PCTs Patient Ratios – 1:5 Type of equipment – Client remote telemetry EMR – Meditech Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) – Yes Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ACLS for RNs Competent with interpreting rhythms Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Leadership experience (Charge) Critical care experience Monitor tech experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Cardiac cath lab post PACU patients (left/right heart caths, pacemakers, Watchman, ablations) Stroke COVID patients Best personality Fit: Team player with sense of urgency Adaptable to change and constructive criticism Comfortable with a "hands-on” Director Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Galaxy blue (Nurses), Hunter Green (PCTs) Not acceptable – sweater/jackets with hoods, sweater that is a full pull-over, fanny packs, crocs shoes Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Huddle is at Nurse's station at start of the shift 0645 or 1845. It is expected for everyone to attend huddle and be on time. Bed side shift report is expected and updating patient communication boards during BSSR. Telemetry has a mixture of tenured staff as well as New RN grads. We also have 2 PCT Leads for each shift. Scheduling is done through Facility Scheduler Self-scheduling. With early communication, the Director will try and accommodate RTO or work around days that candidates are unavailable. We consider each other a second family as we spend a lot of time at work sometimes more than at home. Teamwork goes a long way and makes the shift go by faster and easier.
