Medical Director Psychiatrist

OverviewMedical Director Psychiatrist for services for Newport Healthcare's St. Cloud & Wright Co., MN Residential Treatment Programs for Adolescents & Young Adults. This role combines clinical leadership with direct patient care under the supervision of the Executive Director.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a mental health team to oversee psychiatric care for all residents.Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations within 48 hours of admission.Provide psychiatric assistance during treatment as needed.Facilitate staff training on key psychiatric issues and standards.Coordinate with the Medical Director, Clinical Director, and outreach teams to build relationships with hospitals.Manage a caseload and document patient encounters through progress notes and EMR.Support patient admissions, including initial evaluations and assessments.Maintain communication with families and outpatient providers.Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and assist with utilization reviews.Ensure compliance with Physician Collaborative Agreements and provide age-appropriate care.QualificationsEducation: Doctorate in Medicine (MD) required.Board Certification: Board Certified in Child & Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry.Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State.Preferred Experience: Experience with adolescent psychiatry is required.Residential Experience: Experience in residential settings strongly preferred.Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of Medical Director/Physician leadership experience required.Pay range for this position is $350,000 to $385,000 depending on education and experience.BenefitsMedical/Dental/VisionCompany paid life insuranceFlexible Time Off Program (and sick time)Voluntary Short term and long-term disability401K with company matchFlexible spending accountsTuition ReimbursementStudent Loan RepaymentAnnual CME Allowance #J-18808-Ljbffr
