Front Desk Coordinator – Medical Office Location: Kansas City, MO (Primary site with travel to nearby clinics) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Contract-to-Hire OpportunityOverview: Our client is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Front Desk Coordinator to join their team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering a positive patient experience while supporting daily clinic operations.Key Responsibilities:Daily Duties:Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a timely and professional mannerPage physicians for inpatient hospital callsGreet and check in patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance informationVerify insurance coverage and collect copayments or outstanding balancesSchedule patient appointments and manage provider calendarsScan and upload insurance cards, IDs, and documentation into EHRMaintain accurate and organized electronic health recordsAdministrative Support:Prepare and update new patient packetsAssist with scanning, document indexing, and patient callbacksProcess end-of-day reconciliation and prepare next-day schedulesCoordinate with patient advocacy and clinical teams on new patient processesParticipate in team meetings and support office workflow improvementsTravel Requirements:Travel to other clinic locations 2–3 times per month (mileage reimbursed)Additional locations include: Independence, Lee’s Summit, Shawnee Mission, and HarrisonvilleRequired Qualifications:Strong communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environmentDependable and flexible with the ability to work independentlyComfortable floating between clinic locations as neededPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare settingFamiliarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systemsExperience with insurance verification and basic billing processesWhat We Offer:Opportunity to make a direct impact on patient experienceVariety in responsibilities across front desk and administrative functionsSupportive team environment with autonomy in your roleCompetitive benefits upon permanent hireContract-to-hire pathway (approx. 12 weeks, with potential for full-time conversion)Additional Details:Proof of education required prior to submissionDrug screening required (includes marijuana; no medical exceptions)Interview process includes onsite panel and shadowing
