Regional Vice President West
Regional Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the full operational scope of multiple warehouses and include full P&L responsibility, complete oversight of operations, safety, inventory control, and training. Will support business development opportunities within the assigned region working with management, sales representatives, engineering department, as well as other leaders and departments to develop the company’s short- and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
Create a culture that promotes shared values and supports positive employee relations
Develop a strong understanding of key business metrics related to performance, quality, and profitability.
Leverage this understanding to drive cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement methodologies throughout the organization.
Continually assess operational performance, addressing performance gaps, and taking corrective action to ensure delivery of goals and objectives
Work directly with customers to understand their business needs, effectively plan and forecast future business activity, and act as a point of escalation, where necessary
Assume full ownership of budgeting (inclusive of capital expenditures), forecasting and labor planning for region
Own the goal setting lifecycle, from planning and implementation through execution and closure for region
Act as a primary stakeholder in regional development efforts including skill and leadership development and performance management
Partner with the sales team to pursue new business opportunities, expand on existing opportunities, and create compelling solutions for client needs
Directs and oversees logistics systems, to include oversight of business development, pricing, operations, and account management.
Ensure that customer needs and business KPI requirements within region are understood and included in logistics teams´ targets and daily work
Establishes strong working relationships and effective internal and external networks
Implements and supports change initiatives in the workplace
Proactively communicates key information relevant to other people
Anticipates future sources of conflict and takes actions to address underlying causes through diplomacy
Trouble shoot customer issues by creating a detailed plan and ensuring the plan is executed and matter is resolved to customers satisfaction
Drives compliance
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant
People management
Detailed orientated
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency
Stakeholder management
Advanced negotiations & contract management
Change management
Project management
Cost and account management
Results-oriented mindset with a drive to achieve success
Solid business acumen and supplier market understanding
Must be an excellent, well-rounded communicator adept at making presentations, facilitating meetings and holding one-on-one conversations, especially with customers
Travel requirement between 50-60% (can fluctuate up or down based on business necessity)
