If you're not comfortable pulling a deadfront on a live 200A panel, identifying an FPE or Zinsco panel on sight, reading an inverter fault code, or assessing MC4 connector seating on a rooftop array, this role isn't for you.\n\n*You're a great fit if you have experience as a:*\n\n* Solar PV installer (residential rooftop)\n* Licensed or journeyman electrician with solar exposure\n* Solar O&M technician\n* Insurance adjuster with solar or electrical specialty\n* Home inspector with solar certification (NABCEP, InterNACHI Solar, etc.)\n* Retired or unlicensed electrical contractor\n\n*You should be comfortable identifying and assessing:*\n\n* Solar array components: modules, racking rails, clamps, lag bolts, flashing, grounding hardware, MC4 connectors, junction boxes, conduit runs\n* Panel-level defects: cracks, delamination, snail trails / PID, discoloration, burn marks, frame corrosion\n* Main service panels — including safely removing the deadfront to photograph bus bars, breakers, grounding/neutral connections, and interconnection method (tap, breaker, or bus bar)\n* Recognizing hazardous panel brands on sight (Zinsco, FPE, Pushmatic, fuse boxes)\n* Subpanels — feeder sizing, grounding separated from neutral, connected battery systems\n* Inverters — reading nameplate labels, indicator lights, display status, fault codes, AC/DC disconnect positions, rapid shutdown labeling\n* Solar-related roof damage: mount flashing, sealant failure, shingle lifting around mounts, conduit penetration seals\n* Attic-side evidence: water staining at mounts, daylight at penetrations, lag bolts seated in rafters\n* Shading sources and estimating shaded percentage of an array\n\n*Why Solar Inspectors Partner with Us:*\n\n* *No narrative reports.* Structured checklist in-app — photos, observations, submit on-site.\n* *Reliable, automated payments* initiated 7 days after report publication.
