This is an opportunity to contribute directly to safety & mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities that enable the performance, safety, and effectiveness of military aviation systems.This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.Basic RequirementsBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline5+ years of C, C++, and/or Ada software development experiencePrior experience writing embedded software (C, C++, and/or Ada)Prior experience troubleshooting/debugging software on target hardware in lab/mock-up environmentsli>Prior SW Development and Integration experience utilizing the following communications protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet)Experience with real-time operating system integration (e.g. Lynx, Green Hills, Wind River)Ability to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with clients and peersAbility to work onsite 100%Preferred / Additional SkillsMaster's degree in a STEM disciplineExperience developing embedded safety critical software in AdaExperience using IBM DOORS to author, review, and maintain software requirements with full traceability.Proficient with Linux and Windows development environmentsProficient with Atlassian Tools or similar tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)Experience using static analysis tools (Parasoft, Coverity, SonarQube, or similar analysis tool)Experience with structural coverage and software test automation tools for embedded systems (e.g. VectorCAST)Prior experience in avionics or defense systems developmentExperience with DO-178C, MIL-HDBK-516 and safety-critical software development practicesExperience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA), ARINC 653 and flight software developmentExperience communicating and documenting complex technical designsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to travel 10%Sound Exciting?Get in touch today!
