{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"169c061a8d2dd35b80d9afa9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/169c061a8d2dd35b80d9afa9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/169c061a8d2dd35b80d9afa9","title":"Melt Shop Operator - 3rd shift","description":"Position: Melt Shop Operator (1 openings on each shift) starts at $20/hr\n1st shift starts at 5am\n3rd shift starts at 8pm\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nRepairs and maintains ladles in use in the melt shop\nSupport the Operation and loading of furnaces with scrap iron utilizing overhead crane to a specified temperature for processing.\nHelp Monitor and regulate temperature controls and heating time.\nAssist in Identifying, measuring and adding alloys to ladle iron pouring preparation.\nCollaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance as well as using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.\nExperience inspecting equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or defects.\nAbility to work in and around extreme heat.\nExperience operating crane and forklift.\nBasic computer skills.\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands:\nHandle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.\nThe ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.\nPerform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.\nIndoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.\nAbility to lift items up to 50 lbs.\nJob Type: Full Time.
