This candidate would have 3+ years of experience in packaging spec management, data validation, or SAP spec/BOM entry. They would have hands-on experience with SAP and strong Excel skills and comfort with bulk data processing (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).\nThis candidate would be located in the USA and be comfortable working in CST or MST.\nThis is a 1099 Contractor (Independent Contractor) opportunity for 40-hours per week for 6 months.\nKey Responsibilities:\nReview and validate 3,500+ packaging specifications and BOM records for prepared foods\nCleanse and consolidate packaging and procurement-related data into SAP\nValidate and update dielines, pallet patterns, units of measure, consumption quantities, packaging materials, price, supplier info, MOQs, and lead times\nHarmonize SAP records to match legacy spec format and standards\nOrganize and import records pulled from shared drives, Excel trackers, PDFs, supplier systems, and other sources\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders (sourcing, plant engineers, packaging, IT) to resolve inconsistencies and verify current packaging usage\nPrepare documentation to track changes, exceptions, and issues for audit readiness\nSupport potential BOM creation if time and budget allow\nTypical Day to Day:\nStart with prioritized list of high-volume or high-impact SKUs\nReview existing spec data from legacy systems and suppliers\nAlign with internal team on formatting and structure\nWork within SAP, Excel, and other software to organize and document packaging specs\nIdentify and correct duplicates, incomplete entries, and inconsistencies\nConduct supplier outreach to gather missing inputs\nCoordinate with base business team (knowledge transfer, consistency)\nRegular touchpoints with client-side stakeholders to validate progress\nParticipate in standing check-in calls with client and Adept PM lead\nMinimum Requirements:\n3+ years of experience in packaging spec management, data validation, or SAP spec/BOM entry\nStrong familiarity with SAP, particularly around material specs and BOM integration\nUnderstanding of packaging hierarchy, spec attributes (e.g. materials, dimensions, coatings)\nStrong data management and documentation skills\nAbility to manage and validate large volumes of data accurately\nStrong Excel skills and comfort with bulk data processing (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)\nExperience working with packaging suppliers and manufacturing sites\nAbility to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nNice to Haves:\nExperience in CPG, food, or protein categories strongly preferred\nExperience with Packfora or spec migration/clean-up tools\nPrior work in a centralized spec transformation initiative\nFamiliarity with packaging sustainability attributes (e.g., weight tracking, mono vs. multi-material)\nExposure to BOM optimization or packaging harmonization projects\nExperience using automation tools or AI platforms to accelerate data cleanup\nDisclaimer:\nThis is a 1099 independent contractor position. As such, this role is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans.
