This role will focus on identity and access management (IAM), compliance, security monitoring, and configuration hardening across cloud and data platforms.\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nIdentity & Access Management (IAM) Implementation & Governance\r\nDesign and enforce RBAC/ABAC policies, SCIM provisioning, and SSO/MFA for Databricks workspaces.\r\nManage identity lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding and periodic access reviews.\r\nIntegrate Databricks and AWS services with enterprise IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Okta).\r\nImplement AWS IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries for secure data access.\r\nEnsure secure integration between AWS, Databricks, and Microsoft Power BI for reporting.\r\nSecurity Architecture & Design\r\nDevelop and maintain security architecture for AWS and Databricks environments supporting Power BI analytics.\r\nDesign secure data pipelines and enforce encryption in transit and at rest across AWS S3, Databricks, and Power BI.\r\nImplement network security controls (VPC, security groups, private endpoints) for AWS and Databricks connectivity.\r\nRequirements Gathering & Documentation\r\nLead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define security needs for AWS, Databricks, and Power BI integrations.\r\nDocument security requirements, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.\r\nMaintain detailed security design documentation and update as environments evolve.\r\nEnsure traceability between business requirements and implemented security controls.\r\nSecurity Monitoring & Incident Response\r\nInvestigate and respond to IAM-related and platform security incidents and defects.\r\nCompliance & Risk Management\r\nEnsure adherence to SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and internal security standards across AWS and Databricks.\r\nImplement data governance policies for sensitive data used in Power BI reporting.\r\nConfiguration & Hardening\r\nApply Databricks Security Profile features (CIS-hardened images, FIPS 140 encryption, TLS 1.2+).\r\nValidate secure cluster configurations and enforce encryption policies in Databricks and AWS.\r\nHarden AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM) following CIS benchmarks and best practices.\r\nCollaboration & Reporting\r\nPartner with data engineering, BI, and cloud teams to implement security best practices.\r\nProvide security posture reports and IAM metrics to leadership.\r\nSupport secure integration of Power BI with AWS and Databricks for enterprise reporting.\r\nQualifications:\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\n8+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on AWS and data platforms.\r\nHands-on experience securing Databricks environments and integrating with enterprise IAM solutions.\r\nTechnical Skills:\r\nStrong knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, VPC).\r\nExpertise in Databricks security features, cluster hardening, and workspace governance.\r\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Power BI integration and secure data access patterns.\r\nProficiency in implementing RBAC/ABAC, SSO/MFA, and SCIM provisioning.\r\nUnderstanding of encryption standards (FIPS 140, TLS 1.2+) and CIS benchmarks.\r\nCertifications (Preferred):\r\nAWS Certified Security – Specialty\r\nDatabricks Certified Data Engineer or Security Professional\r\nCISSP or CISM\r\nMicrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (optional but a plus)\r\nSoft Skills:\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\r\nAbility to lead requirements gathering and produce clear documentation.\r\nComfortable working in a
