Premium Review Specialist
Position Summary
The Policy Premium Processor is responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing title insurance premiums submitted by agent partners. This role ensures that all premiums, endorsements, and fees are accurately calculated in accordance with filed rates, state regulations, and underwriter guidelines. Working in a fully remote environment requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently verify premium accuracy based on agent-provided documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Premium Validation & Review
Review premium calculation worksheets submitted by agents for accuracy and completeness
Validate title insurance premiums, endorsements, and fees against state rate manuals and underwriter guidelines
Confirm proper application of reissue and simultaneous issue rates
Identify discrepancies, miscalculations, or missing information in agent submissions
Communicate required corrections or clarifications to agents or internal stakeholders
Processing & Data Entry
Accurately enter validated premium and policy data into internal systems
Maintain organized digital records of agent submissions and supporting documentation
Reconciliation & Exception Handling
Reconcile submitted premiums with recorded amounts in policy and accounting systems
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Escalate complex or recurring issues to management as appropriate
Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure all validated premiums comply with filed rates, state regulations, and underwriting standards
Support internal and external audits by maintaining clear documentation of validation steps
Participate in quality assurance reviews to improve accuracy and consistency
Agent & Internal Communication
Serve as a point of contact for agents regarding premium validation questions
Provide clear, professional feedback on corrections or adjustments
Collaborate with underwriting, accounting, and policy teams to resolve issues efficiently
Remote Work Expectations

Protect confidential information in accordance with company data security policies
Effectively manage workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Communicate proactively using email, chat, and video conferencing tools
Be available during standard business hours
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of experience in title insurance, escrow, or premium accounting preferred
Experience reviewing or auditing title premiums or settlement statements strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of title insurance rate structures and premium calculations
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and title production systems (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare)
Strong written communication skills for interacting with agents remotely
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
