Roofing Consultant / Project Manager

Job Description Project Manager/Roofing Consultant- Technical Assurance Inc., a 100% employee-owned national building roof consulting group, is seeking qualified individuals to join our team. Technical Assurance manages building roof consulting and design for assignments of varied size, scope and geographical location. As a multi‐state professional firm, we have successfully delivered program solutions across all 50 states. Qualified candidates must possess knowledge of project/construction management, client relation skills, computer skills and be willing to travel. Registered Roof Consultant credential is preferred.Must be a United States citizen.ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager position will require a comprehensive knowledge of the day-to-day execution of assigned project(s) including managing, coordinating and supervising to ensure the work is completed within schedule, safety, and security requirements.Assist in reviewing project drawings and specifications to gain a full understanding of project scope, client goals and expectations and resource requirements for each phase of the projectThe PM will manage all document control of submittals, change orders, correspondence, and drawings and their impact on the construction scheduleManage client interaction and promote positive relationshipsResolve project related issues quickly and effectively to keep work progress on trackAssist in the evaluation of subcontractor invoices against actual workPrepare progress and status reports for management and clientsRequirementsRegistered Roof Consultant (RRC) preferred but not requiredSelf-motivated with excellent communication skills working with the project team including the client, program manager, subcontractors, administrative staff and design team5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education managing multiple high profile commercial or industrial projects from $1 to $5 million in valueProficient with drawings and specification review and implementationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling softwareTravel will be requiredMust have the ability to effectively organize own schedule to ensure timely completion of projectsMultitask and work on multiple projects concurrently Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant changeAbility to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlinesTeam player who possesses a positive attitude and good work ethicProblem solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluation and resolve)Conduct effective construction progress meetings with client and sub-contractorsMust be a United States citizen and able to show proof of citizenship (permissible under Title VII bona fide occupational qualification).This position may require you to undergo a Federal Government security clearance process for work in classified or highly restricted areas. This process carries with it mandatory drug screening and substantial background check.
