Job Title: Regulatory SpecialistLocation: Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary AssignmentWork Type: HybridPayrate:$ 33.00 - 39.00/hr. Role SummaryThis role supports Regulatory Affairs activities for Salty Snacks brands, ensuring compliance with U.S. food regulations across the product lifecycle—from ideation through commercialization and post launch. The position partners cross functionally with R&D, Marketing, Legal, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver compliant ingredients, formulas, labels, claims, and certifications for Salty products. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide regulatory compliance support for Salty Snacks brands, including ingredient, recipe, labeling, and claims reviewsExecute finished product labeling activities from creation through final packaging approvalReview and assess ingredients, additives, flavors, colors, allergens, and processing aids for U.S. regulatory complianceSupport claims substantiation (e.g., nutrition, organic, non GMO, vegan, kosher, gluten free, whole grain as applicable)Partner with cross functional teams to support innovation, renovation, and continuous improvement projectsUtilize internal systems (SAP-PLM/PDM, labeling and compliance tools, Webcenter/ESKO) to document regulatory decisions and approvalsSupport responses to internal and external regulatory questions, including consumer and customer inquiriesTypical DaySupport label development, artwork reviews and approvalsReview recipe submissions for regulatory compliance and work on claims substantiationsParticipate in cross functional project meetings for Salty innovation and renovationsProvide regulatory guidance to R&D, Marketing, and Commercial teamsUpdate regulatory systems and trackers (labels, certifications, compliance reviews)Top Three Technical SkillsU.S. Food Regulatory Knowledge (labeling, allergens, claims, ingredients, additives)Finished Product Labeling, artwork reviews and approvals & Claims Review (end to end execution)Cross Functional Regulatory Support in a fast paced consumer packaged goods environmentRequired Qualifications (Must Haves)2–5+ years Regulatory Affairs experience in food companiesStrong working knowledge of U.S. food labeling and ingredient regulationsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Regulatory, Biology, Chemistry, or related fieldExperience supporting cross functional product development teamsSoft SkillsAttention to detailStrong problem solving and critical thinking; comfortable with ambiguityExcellent analytical and research skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Excellent organizational skills and ability to self-manage multiple prioritiesStrong initiative and ability to adapt in a fast-changing environmentImpeccable ethics and high level of confidentialitySoftware Skills and PurposePLM / PDM – SAP systems: ingredient, recipe, and label complianceLabeling and artwork systems (e.g., WebCenter or equivalent): label development and approvalsMicrosoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint): documentation, summaries, and stakeholder communicationIndustry ExperienceFood, consumer packaged goods (CPG) industryExperience with Salty Snacks or baked snack categories strongly preferredTekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
