Operating across more than 40 countries, the client helps build the infrastructure the world relies on — spanning ground improvement, grouting, heavy foundations, earth retention, and instrumentation and monitoring — supporting major infrastructure, industrial, commercial, residential, and environmental projects. (Client name shared with shortlisted candidates.)\nThe opportunity\nYou'll lead the delivery of IT projects that support the client's Operations and Engineering teams across the U.S. and beyond. A key early focus is the deployment of Clue CMMS — a computerized maintenance management system for construction equipment, fleet, and asset maintenance — where you'll drive the rollout end to end, from business process design through implementation and adoption. Working within the client's Group IT function, you'll own projects across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality — partnering with sponsors, functional leaders, IT teams, suppliers, and delivery partners to turn business needs into practical, field-ready solutions.\nThis is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and real-world operations. You'll work closely with site-based, engineering, and regional stakeholders to make sure the technology delivered actually works for the people using it — on projects, on sites, and in the field. Operations and Engineering are your primary focus, but you'll also pick up projects across other business functions as portfolio demand requires.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the deployment of Clue CMMS — including maintenance business process mapping, configuration, data readiness, integrations, and user adoption across operations and field teams.\nAnalyze project proposals to define scope, timelines, funding, resource needs, and the right delivery approach.\nBuild and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, RAID logs, resource plans, and communication plans within the client's IT governance framework.\nContribute to or lead business cases, project approach documents, and delivery plans.\nPartner with Operations, Engineering, technical teams, and stakeholders to define clear outcomes, responsibilities, and decision points.\nCoordinate work across internal teams, external suppliers, and delivery partners to keep projects moving.\nProvide leadership, direction, and motivation to project team members throughout the lifecycle.\nProactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities — agreeing mitigation plans and escalating when needed.\nTrack progress, quality, and financials, and deliver accurate status reporting and metrics.\nKeep sponsors, stakeholders, end users, and partners informed through effective project communications.\nEnsure solutions meet security, compliance, operational support, and transition requirements.\nSupport business readiness, implementation, transition to support, and post-go-live sustainment.\nSpot opportunities to improve delivery processes, PMO standards, and portfolio management maturity.\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience.\n3+ years in IT project management or technology delivery, including multiple projects or a significant business-critical project.\nExperience delivering IT initiatives in operational settings — construction, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, field service, or similar.\nUnderstanding of maintenance business processes (e.g., preventive/corrective maintenance, work orders, asset and equipment management) and experience deploying or supporting a CMMS/EAM system such as Clue, Maximo, Fiix, UpKeep, or similar.\nStrong grasp of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.\nHands-on with project tools such as Microsoft Project, Project for the web, Azure DevOps, Jira, or Smartsheet.\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).\nStrong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills — including where you don't directly control resources.\nComfort managing suppliers and cross-functional teams across geographically distributed locations.\nSolid understanding of risk, issue, dependency, change, and financial management, plus operational support and transition planning.\nNice to have\nProject management certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe, or equivalent).\nITIL 4 Foundation or equivalent IT service management knowledge.\nExperience with enterprise platforms (ERP, Asset Management, GIS, Service Management, HCM, or similar).\nExperience with reporting and portfolio tools (Power BI, ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps).\nBackground working within a PMO or structured delivery/governance environment.\nExperience in a global organization supporting distributed teams.\nWho you are\nDriven and delivery-focused, with the energy to hit deadlines and see outcomes through. A strong communicator and collaborative team player who builds trust across diverse, cross-functional teams. Organized, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure — able to take initiative while following agreed processes. Willing to work across U.S. time zones, with an East Coast base preferred.\nWhy this role\nThrough Plexlane, you'll contract with a global leader that has a presence in 40+ countries and a reputation built on engineering excellence.
