Warehouse Supervisor

*Job Summary*Pooler, GA (Savannah area) - Our client is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, logistics, and shipping/receiving processes.This position is responsible for supporting the warehouse quality department by inspecting, approving, quarantining and releasing inbound and outbound containers. The role is on-site in Pooler, GA.The standard schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 4:30pm.Availability up to 7pm and weekends, as needed, is also standard.This role will begin as Temporary-Full Time and can move to Permanent-Full Time after a period of time.This role is overtime eligible.Warehouse Duties:o Opening and securing warehouse dailyo Plan and supervise execution of daily warehouse operationso Train and monitor all employees’ trainingo Communicate with drayage companies to schedule pick up of all outbound loadso Communicate with drayage companies full container deliveries to the warehouseo Set stripping priorities based off of Folgers blend needs, 14 day and D&D timeso QC items such as tares, insect inspections, dry van pre- inspection and container informationo Reporting and supervising reconditioning of damaged coffeeo Work with IT to troubleshoot all forklift computer and shipment issueso Warehouse inventory confirmation and reconciliationo Responsible for keeping warehouse audit ready at all timeso Performs other duties as assignedReceiving Inspection:o Match seal number to ASN or BOLo Use pheromone trap to test for Indian Meal Mothso Perform receiving inspection, matching markso Release container for stripingo Perform bag tare procedureo Monitor for insect activityo Document sound coffee, torn and mended bags, and damaged bagso Communicate damage with QA and Traffic departmentso Yard Inventories 2 per day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.Shipping Inspection:o Perform container pre-use inspectiono Responsible for daily QA and Safety inspectionso Use pheromone trap to test for Indian Meal Moths (after loaded)o Release containerQA and Safety Related Duties:Knowledge of Food-Grade Warehouse Standard Practices Preferredo Maintain Housekeeping schedule and 7pt empty container inspectionso Monitor others to ensure that QA and Safety Procedures are being followedo Update IMS with damage information and maintain fileso Monitor and issue personal protective equipmento Ensure employees are trained prior to workingo Fire extinguisher checks completed monthlyo Order supplies for the warehouseo Follow scrap processo Maintain visitor log and contractors logo Receive containers into yard and input into IMSo Discharge containers from yard and remove from IMSSupervisory ResponsibilitiesYesQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
