HVAC Project Manager

Job Summary:Experienced and credentialed HVAC Project Manager with over a decade of success managing the design, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems in complex public-sector environments is needed to fill this position . Holds HVAC NATE and ISO 9001 certifications and a Mechanical Engineering degree , with a deep working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and industrial equipment.Extensive experience collaborating with NYC city agencies , including DOE (Department of Education), DOB (Department of Buildings), DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), H+H (NYC Health + Hospitals) , and others. Known for leading projects to completion under strict deadlines, maintaining full code compliance, and driving operational efficiency in demanding, safety-sensitive environments.Our Ideal Candidate: HVAC Project Manager: This position will be based at our company headquarters in Brooklyn, NY , with regular travel to job sites as required to oversee field operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and support project execution.Core Competencies:HVAC Design, Construction & MaintenanceChiller Plants, Boilers, Pumps & CompressorsNYC Public Agencies (DOB, DOE, DEP, H+H, etc.)Mechanical and Electrical System CoordinationHVAC NATE CertificateISO 9001 Quality Control Systems CertificateSafety & Compliance (OSHA, NYC DOB)Field Supervision & Subcontractor ManagementProject Scheduling & DocumentationAir Quality & Energy Efficiency TroubleshootingEngineering-Based Operational ImprovementsKey Responsibilities, but not limited to:Manage HVAC projects from design through completion, including scope, budget, field operations, and closeout.Coordinate with numerous NYC city agencies to ensure projects meet permitting, inspection, and regulatory requirements.Review and approve design plans, specifications, and construction schedules; recommend technical solutions for issues and changes.Assist in HVAC system design, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout.Conduct and supervise repairs and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems and industrial mechanical equipment.Troubleshoot complex HVAC and mechanical failures, inefficiencies, and air quality concerns.Monitor compliance with all applicable codes, safety protocols, and company performance standards.Lead field supervision and coordination of contractors and subcontractors for HVAC-related construction tasks.Supervise safe operation and installation of critical systems, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and compressors .Conduct bi-weekly OSHA-compliant safety meetings and enforce clean, hazard-free work environments.Implement engineering solutions to improve system performance, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.Maintain detailed project documentation including work orders, change orders, and reports; support ISO
