Implements a process in the documentation of diagrams, processes, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and change management logs. Designs, implements, and ensures that database systems achieve 100% uptime with 24/7/365 operational availability.\r\nDevelops proposed systems which meet the required database and interface specifications, based upon identified business needs\r\nOptimizes database administration tasks including configuration management, backup/recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and space management\r\nTroubleshoots and resolves critical problems across various tiers in the database systems\r\nCommunicates software development initiatives and plans related database changes including database upgrades and data migrations\r\nResearches and provides both business and technical solutions based on business needs and specifications and deploys them into the production infrastructure following change management procedures\r\nMonitors, tests, analyzes and evaluates the existing infrastructure environment and optimizes it based on resiliency, technological advancements, and cost\r\nProduces documentation on operational run books, business and technical solutions, and overall technology concepts\r\nResearches, identifies, designs and implements database upgrades and refresh programs\r\nPrepares and documents standard operating procedures in accordance with required standards and protocols\r\nReviews trend analysis and recommends solutions regarding hardware and software resource management\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned\r\nComplies with all policies and standards\r\nEducation/Experience\r\nA Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.\r\nOr equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.\r\nTechnical Skills\r\nOne or more of the following skills are desired.\r\nKnowledge of Reporting Tools\r\nKnowledge of Other: database storage infrastructure\r\nExperience with MySQL\r\nExperience with SQL (Programming Language)\r\nExperience with Other: NoSQL\r\nExperience with Oracle Database Management System (DBMS)\r\nSoft Skills\r\nIntermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty\r\nIntermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions\r\nIntermediate - Ability to work independently\r\nIntermediate - Demonstrated analytical skills\r\nIntermediate - Demonstrated project management skills\r\nIntermediate - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure\r\nIntermediate - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills\r\nIntermediate - Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management\r\nIntermediate - Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion\r\nIntermediate - Possesses technical aptitude\r\nPay Range: $102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per year\r\nCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.
