Utilize, train, and promote evidence basedpractice to facilitate positive clinical outcomes and high resident satisfaction.The CNPS responsibilities include assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) in mentoring andonboarding registered nurses, new admission assessments and adherence to clinical programsand protocols.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Leadership:Serve as clinical resource to nursing department and provided education as needed for complex admissions.Provides leadership to specific standing clinical meetings as assigned (e.g. At RiskMeeting, GDR, etc.)Participates in licensed nurse annual development reviewsProvides input and recommendations to new and/or existing clinical policies, guidelinesand protocols.Staff Supervision & Education:Assists DON in direct supervision of licensed nurses.Reviews RN clinical competenciesAssists Director of Staff Development (DSD) with coordinating RN in-service training.Partners with DSD for planning of Clinical Skills FairRegulatory Compliance & Quality Improvement:Monitors staff adherence to clinical protocols related to resident assessment and careplanningAssists with clinical record audits and follow-upResponsible for specific QI clinical indicators and reports to the QI CommitteeMay attend meetings to include but not limited to: Risk Meeting, Care Conferences,PDPM Huddle, Weight/Nutrition, GDR/Psychotropic Stewardship, RNOther:* Conducts routine rounds* Assists with workflow management and problem resolutionWhat you will bring:* Must possess current CA license as registered nurse, BSN preferred.* Must have minimum of three years supervisory experience.* Certified Infection Preventionist* Position requires individual to be detail oriented, organized with strong clinical and critical thinking skills.* Ability to effectively communicate and present data and recommendations to interdisciplinary committee.* Demonstrated competence with use of electronic medical record, PCC preferred.* Ability to flex schedule based on facility needs* Current CPR certificationOther certifications are encouraged:* Adult Gerontology certification* CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) Certification. #ZR
