Demonstrated leadership and/or co-op experience a plus.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nThe Engineering/Maintenance Department functions as a service group within the facility and as needed for other division locations.\nThey are responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the production process, plant equipment, and facility. Position accountabilities include:\n1. Identify and implement improvement projects to increase production capacity, product quality, equipment reliability, and employee safety. Also, reduce energy usage and production costs.\n2. Support and train factory personnel on new equipment and operating procedures.\n3. Support maintenance functions by advising on technical matters, troubleshooting, and planning repairs.\n4. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\nSuccessful candidates will gain experience with the following systems:\n1. Utilities – Electrical power distribution, natural gas, compressed air, and water treatment.\n2. Bulk powder storage, conveying, weighing, and mixing.\n3. Glass melting, forming and annealing.\n4. Process measurement instruments and control systems.\n5. Automated glass cutting, handling, and packaging equipment.\n6. Material handling, mobile equipment, and warehousing.\n7. Power transmission systems.\n8. Industrial workplace regulations (i.e. OSHA, EPA, NEC, etc.).\n9.
