Join us.\n\nJob Description\n\nProgram Controls Scheduling Manager\nAECOM is seeking a Program Controls Mid-Level Scheduling Specialist to be based in our Baltimore, MD office with a strong background in construction planning, utility coordination and force account management to support the B&P Tunnel Replacement (BPTR) Program among other project opportunities available at AECOM.\nAECOM is the delivery partner for Amtrak on the BPTR Program that will upgrade a ten-mile section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC), America’s busiest passenger rail line. The delivery partner team is responsible for supporting Amtrak with overseeing the full breadth of the program. The scope of services includes program management, design oversight, construction oversight, commissioning oversight, program controls, and commercial and capacity building. The Program will also include delivery of new roadway and railroad bridges, new rail systems and track, and a new ADA-accessible West Baltimore MARC station.\nThe ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with detailed scheduling, coordination of utility and force account work, and supporting multi-project integration. This role contributes to schedule analysis, risk identification, reporting, and continuous improvement of scheduling processes throughout the project lifecycle—from early planning through construction and closeout.\nThe responsibilities of the Scheduling Specialist include the following:\n\nSupports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances.\nCollects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports.\nAssists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.\nSupports gathering and assembling data for master schedule updating.\nSupports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.\nGathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.\nSupports monthly report preparation.\nParticipate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.\nDevelops and maintains program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects of various types\nMonitors and actively participates in project and program scheduling issues while administering best practices and standards\nObtains accurate and timely program schedule updates from project teams and performs QA/QC on information received\nCreates and develops conceptual what-if schedules for multiple project types including large complex multi-year projects\nPrepares ad-hoc reports and analyses as directed by management\nUnderstands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum:\nBachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPreferred requirements:\nExperience on Amtrak or other public transit agency projects is preferable.\nExperience on review/development of Time Impact Analysis.\nExperience in reviewing Contractor's Baseline / Update / TIA schedules.\nExperience with schedule evolution from estimating through design - construction - closeout including changes\nExperience in Construction Schedule Planning.\nExperience in concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.\nExperience with basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.\nExperience with CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.\nExperience with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.\nExperienced in planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.\nExperience with data sources and supports basic schedule development.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nRelocation is an option for this position.\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\n\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
