Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity offers a full-time Special Education teaching position for high school students in a Northern Denver suburban district known for its supportive and welcoming environment. Candidates with experience in mild to moderate special education, including learning evaluations, report writing, and providing specialized services, will find this role rewarding. The district serves approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites and values both new graduates and experienced educators.Key Responsibilities:Provide instruction and support to 9th12th grade students with mild to moderate special education needs.Conduct learning evaluations and complete detailed report writing.Deliver specialized services in a Mod to Severe ASD program without behavioral challenges.Collaborate with staff and engage in ongoing professional development, including mandatory CPI training provided during onboarding.Qualifications:Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) special education credentials or active progress toward obtaining them.Experience working with high school students in mild to moderate special education settings.Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to district policies (district does not accept VOCO or hybrid credentials).Flexibility to participate in a two-step interview process involving a virtual screening and a panel interview (in person or virtual).Location: Englewood, CO (with travel candidates encouraged to share relocation status)This position offers the chance to join a smaller, community-oriented district that supports both career starters and seasoned teachers.
