You will collaborate closely with electrical contractors, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability, accuracy, and seamless execution of electrical systems on the project.\nThis role requires extreme ownership in four key areas:\nProject Leadership & Execution: Oversee BIM/VDC coordination for electrical scopes from kickoff to installation.\nQuality Assurance (QA/QC): Ensure electrical models, layouts, and prefabrication drawings meet industry and field standards.\nBidding, Proposals & Change Orders: Support electrical project pricing, estimation, and scope changes.\nClient Service & Relationship Management: Work closely with electrical contractors, project managers, and field teams to provide top-tier VDC support.\nAdditionally, you’ll contribute to business development, mentor BIM/VDC specialists, and drive process improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Management\nOwn the VDC/BIM process for electrical scopes, from project setup to execution and final closeout.\nManage electrical model development, coordination efforts, and installation drawings.\nPeople Management: Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with appropriate stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.\nScheduling: Oversee and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Coordinator and VDC Specialists within the Project Management tool.\nRisk Management: Identify potential risks & mitigation measures.\nLead BIM coordination meetings, ensuring electrical layouts align with mechanical, plumbing, and structural trades.\nEstimating: Prepare accurate and strategic cost estimates and project proposals.\nConduct site visits to validate constructability, resolve field issues, and support installation teams.\nChange Management: Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements.\nResource Management: Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.\nTechnical Excellence & Quality Control\nEnsure electrical models and prefabrication drawings meet contractual and field installation requirements.\nPerform clash detection, routing optimization, and conduit coordination in Navisworks and Revit.\nWork with electrical contractors to develop prefabrication strategies, spool drawings, and material takeoffs.\nReview shop drawings, submittals, and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.\nAssist in power and lighting layouts, underground conduit routing, and panelboard coordination.\nClient & Business Development Support\nServe as the primary technical cooperator for electrical contractors: foremen and project managers.\nSupport cost estimating, scope development, and change order tracking for electrical VDC work.\nContribute to marketing efforts, proposal development, and industry networking opportunities.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExperience: 5+ years in VDC/BIM project management; prefer electrical experience.\nCommunication & Client Engagement: Ability to work closely with electrical contractors, project managers, and foremen.\nIndustry Expertise: Strong knowledge of NEC codes, conduit layouts, lighting, and electrical installation best practices.\nProblem-Solving Mindset: Ability to analyze coordination challenges and develop innovative, field-ready solutions.\nSoftware Proficiency: Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, and 3D modeling software.\nExtreme Ownership Mentality: Take full responsibility for project success, client satisfaction, and team performance.\nLeadership & Team Management: Experience managing BIM specialists, remote teams, and project coordination efforts.\nWork Environment\nCandidates must reside within commuting distance to Bridgeport, AL\nThe role is 100% onsite, no hybrid work schedules are available\nCollaborative environment (virtual or in person) with frequent team meetings and project briefings\nSome travel may be required depending on the location of the projects\nCompensation Range\n$100,000-$120,000\n\nVEC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
