You will have the opportunity and responsibility to generate innovative solutions to address unique issues on a wide variety of projects. The coding will consist of C, C++, and Python development in an embedded Linux environment. An ideal candidate would have familiarity with Object-Oriented design methodologies and code analysis. United States veteran and diverse candidates are encouraged to apply at any experience level.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n● Working on embedded platform software in a Linux-based environment.\n● Writing event-driven and asynchronous applications primarily in C, C++ and Python.\n● Writing software that communicates with and controls other devices over interfaces including CAN, UART, I2C, SPI and others\n● Using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, multimeters, and other tools for electronic diagnostics\nQualifications, Skill, and Attributes\n● Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred\n● 1-3 year’s experience of hands-on experience in embedded engineering is preferred, but new graduates familiar with embedded systems are invited to apply.\n● Knowledge of SW product cycle\n● Working experience using Linux\n● Working experience with C, C++ and/or Python\n● Good working knowledge of revision control and code review tools like Git\n● Previous experience manipulating GPIO preferred\n● Ability to read schematics and data sheets with hands-on experience debugging hardware platforms preferred\n● Raspberry Pi and Arduino experience highly preferred\n● Strong documentation skills highly preferred\n● Excellent team player with strong communication skills (written and verbal) is essential\nJob Type: Full-time\nBenefits:\n● 401(k)\n● 5% Safe Harbor Contribution to 401k by Hellbender\n● Dental insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families\n● Flexible spending account\n● Health insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families\n● Vision insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families\n● 7.5 weeks total Paid time off\n● As needed PPE reimbursement, including things such as prescription safety glasses, steel toe boots, ESD smock.\n● Hellbender Inc.
