Join us in our mission to help people get their best sleep by helping build our next generation of smart connected hardware. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on mechanical engineer, experienced with a wide range of manufacturing/prototyping processes, 2D and 3D CAD design skills, with strong analytical and communication skills, and familiar enough with Electrical and Firmware systems to be able to hack together and test complete systems.\nThis role is hybrid-remote, able to be onsite in Redwood City, CA when needed.\nWhat You’ll Do Within 3 Months:\nBuild out a basic Mechanical Prototype and test Lab\nPerform benchmark and teardown of Hatch and other products\nVisit manufacturing partners in Asia\nTest and debug prototype products\nCollaborate closely with a cross functional team\nWithin 6 Months:\nSupport mechanical design and validation for NPI programs\nEvaluate new technologies and concepts\nAfter 1 Year:\nLong term path to becoming lead mechanical engineer on an NPI program\nWhat You’ll Bring: Proficiency in 3D CAD Design, ideally Creo or Solidworks\nExperience in additive and subtractive prototyping and manufacturing processes\nPassion for exploring and hands-on with new technologies that improve our products for consumers\nExperience working with a range of materials, eg plastic injection molding, composites, fabrics.\nExperience with detailed validation of parts\nData driven approach to problem solving\nExperience with high volume manufacturing\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering\nExperience with Electronic & PCB design, C and/or Python.\n3-5 years experience developing consumer products\nWhy You’ll Love Your Gig at Hatch We’re a certified Great Place to Work! 93% of our employees say Hatch is a great place to work.\nYou’ll work with an amazing leadership team that truly values employees and leads with our company values every day.\nWe help people sleep better!
