Construction Administrator (Electrical or Mechanical)

An established MEP consulting firm is seeking a skilled Mechanical and/or Electrical Contract Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with 5+ years of experience in the construction trades—particularly within mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds in field service, construction, or facility maintenance.How You'll ContributeConduct jobsite field observations of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical installations to ensure adherence to plans, standards, and codesGenerate clear and detailed observation reportsReview contractor submittals and shop drawings for technical complianceCollaborate directly with project managers and engineers to resolve constructability and field issuesInterface with contractors to maintain quality control and construction accuracyNote: This role requires physical presence at active construction sites and the ability to walk, climb, crouch, or crawl as needed.What Makes You a Great Fit5+ years of hands-on experience in the MEP construction tradesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel); familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plusPositive attitude and strong interpersonal skillsValid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and current auto insuranceAn engineering background is preferred but not required.
