Position Title: Program Development Consultant - Nuclear Development DepartmentLocation: Remote (100% remote work available)Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4 days x 10 hoursJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Program Development Consultant to join our Nuclear Development Department's Operational Readiness Group. In this role, you will provide expert guidance, produce, and review key documentation to support the successful launch of new nuclear power generation projects. Your work will focus on the development of essential programs related to operations, training, quality assurance, and maintenance, with the goal of advancing nuclear projects toward commercial operation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, development, and execution of programs necessary for the construction and operation of nuclear power plants. Provide training and mentorship to employees involved in program development, ensuring regulatory compliance and industry best practices. Support the development of programs aligned with NRC, NEI, EPRI, or other regulatory frameworks, ensuring they are tailored to advanced reactor designs. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and implement operational solutions, including operations, maintenance, training, and quality assurance for new nuclear reactors. Engage with key business stakeholders to build relationships and contribute to business development efforts, including RFP responses and business proposals. Perform strategic and long-range planning, set goals, and manage resources to meet programmatic objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert in consulting with a team of managers, supervisors, and individual contributors, providing coaching and guidance where needed. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and 10+ years of combined experience in nuclear operations, maintenance, or technical roles. OR Associate degree in engineering or related field with 12+ years of combined nuclear industry experience. OR High school diploma or GED with 14+ years of experience in the nuclear industry. Previous RO/SRO license, SRO certification, or Senior Operator qualification. Proven consulting experience in the nuclear industry. Strong knowledge of nuclear operations, training, quality assurance, and maintenance programs. Experience working with regulatory and industry guidelines, including CFR, INPO, and NRC standards. Desired Qualifications:Familiarity with new nuclear technologies and their associated challenges. Experience developing nuclear power plant programs from engineering through project startup. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to create effective program documentation. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to interface with peers, supervisors, technology developers, client utilities, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
