Position Title: Manager of Application and Data ServicesClearance Requirements: USC / Green Card HolderPosition Status: 9-Month Contract to HirePay Rate: $55–$85/hr W2Position DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager of Application and Data Services to lead and oversee strategic banking applications in a hybrid work environment in Richmond, VA. This role is accountable for managing core banking systems, consumer and commercial online banking, digital platforms, wire systems, and treasury services.The ideal candidate will partner with operations and business teams to drive operational efficiencies, oversee system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and conversions, and manage key vendor relationships. This is a high-impact position for an accomplished professional with deep banking technology expertise and proven leadership experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all core banking systems, including online banking, digital, wire, and treasury platformsOversee change configurations, system upgrades, integrations, and conversionsDevelop and maintain deep expertise in assigned applicationsPlan, assign, and monitor technical resources for application development and maintenanceDeliver projects and system enhancements on schedule and within specificationsCollaborate with project management, business analysts, and QA teams to build effective application roadmapsLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT teamCreate cross-training opportunities and foster a collaborative team environmentManage day-to-day production support activities (BAU) and coordinate with vendors and business unitsDefine, monitor, analyze, and improve application SLAs and KPIsStrategically use data to drive continuous improvement in operational performanceServe as a subject matter expert to standardize and improve business processesCommunicate process changes and system enhancements effectively across all organizational levelsPrepare and present reports, recommendations, and alternatives to improve system operationsRequired Skills & Qualifications8+ years managing banking application or IT teamsExperience with core banking systems, digital banking, online banking, wire, and treasury platformsStrong background in banking or financial services enterprise applicationsExperience with system implementations, integrations, upgrades, and conversionsVendor management experience with banking technology providersProcess improvement and data analysis skills (Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or similar)Strong leadership and cross-department collaboration with business and operations teamsUndergraduate degree in a business or technology-related discipline (Graduate degree preferred)Excellent communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to interpret and analyze complex data sets to support decision-makingPreferred SkillsDemonstrated success in driving operational efficiency and automation in banking systemsExperience with large-scale project delivery and IT strategy alignmentAdvanced customer service focus and commitment to exceeding expectationsAbout Seneca ResourcesSeneca Resources is a leading provider of strategic IT consulting services and workforce solutions across the U.S. We connect professionals to high-impact opportunities in government and industry while supporting career growth through competitive pay, professional training, and advancement opportunities.
