In this role, you’ll provide tailored academic support, test preparation, and executive function coaching, while building long-term relationships with students and families.\nResponsibilities\nTutor students in core math subjects (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, etc.), SAT/ACT prep, and additional subjects as needed (English, science, history, writing, and APs).\nProvide personalized academic coaching, including time management skills, study skills, and organizational strategies.\nCreate customized lesson plans based on each student’s learning style, goals, strengths, and academic requirements.\nSupport students with coursework across multiple disciplines.\nTrack student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.\nInspire motivation, confidence, and critical thinking in every session.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree, all majors considered.\nAbility to tutor high school math, English, and all parts of the SAT and ACT.\nAbility to tutor at least one AP course, including but not limited to the following: AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Computer Science, AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP World History, AP Government, AP Literature, AP Language Arts and Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish or other AP language courses.\nAt least 3 years of private tutoring experience.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nPassion for helping students grow both academically and personally.\nInterest in pursuing tutoring beyond the short-term.\nBenefits\nFlexible scheduling to fit your availability.\nCompetitive hourly pay starting at $60 per hour, with consideration given to experience level, subject expertise, and intended commitment to Vertical Prep.\nOpportunities for growth as Vertical Prep expands.\nRewarding, mission-driven work with motivated students, families, and team members.\nPosition title: Expert Educator\nLocation: Remote\nInterested in tutoring with Vertical Prep?\nTo apply for this position, please record a brief video (no more than 2 minutes) introducing yourself, your experience tutoring, and why you think you might be a good fit for this position.
