The ideal candidate enjoys systems thinking, troubleshooting complex environments, and taking ownership of technical outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for deployed systemsPerform system engineering and programming in coordination with field teamsMaintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and service ticketsCollaborate with installation teams, project managers, and support staffManage manufacturer RMAs and replacement coordinationApply and manage system licensesPerform camera footage pulls and review activity logsExecute firmware updates and ongoing system maintenanceSystems & TechnologiesSecurity cameras, NVRs, cloud analytics platformsAccess control systemsIntercom systemsNetworks, switching, VLANs, wireless, and bridge linksFirewalls (configuration and management)System diagnostics, logs, and licensingRequired QualificationsStrong English communication skills (spoken and written)Professional, polite, and respectful communication styleComfortable working with:Field installation teamsProject managersTechnical support staffStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsWilling and able to work US Eastern Time business hours (including seasonal DST)Background in systems engineering, networking, security platforms, or technical supportPreferred ExperiencePhysical security platforms (video, access control, intercoms)Networking fundamentals (switching, VLANs, wireless, firewalls)Cloud-managed systemsMeraki firewalls, switching, and WiFiFortigate firewall deployment and managementNVRs and camera systemsAccess control and intercom programmingCCNA or equivalent certificationsTraining & GrowthIDR Technology Solutions provides training on supported systems and platforms.
