In this role you will assist with maintaining, tracking, and reporting financial information and cost estimating efforts.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\nTracking current budget line items and contracts, tracking how invoices are affecting burn rates and funding amounts.\n\nActing as a liaison between the logistics office/procurement team and the finance team.\n\nPrimarily performing data entry, submitting/reviewing invoices, funding requests.\n\nTrack and reconcile financial obligations and expenditures associated with procurement requirements and contracts. Ensure financial reporting and supporting documentation comply with applicable Uniform Financial Reporting standards.\n\nPrepare and track routing forms.\n\nMay assist with the Travel budget and Supply budget. Manage and track the Integration Program Element (PE) as applicable to position focus.\n\nAssist with the implementation and management of its Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.\n\nAssist with the formulation, development, and execution of budgets, financial plans, and multi-year programs required to properly fund and meet program resource requirements.\n\nAssist in updating Command/DoD databases, coordinating the write-ups for programs and projects with appropriate personnel, gathering information for over-guidance requests, and consolidating all information for the responsible Portfolios.\n\nInterface and coordinate with other financial organizations to provide budgetary support.\n\nAssist in the preparation and delivery of budgetary briefings to management and other reviewers.\n\nAssist in the preparation of reports and charts to present budget analysis for management review.\n\nAssist with responses to financial queries, conducting outlay, and obligation analysis.\n\nAssist in the tracking and reporting of execution performance to include attending customer and program/project status review meetings.\n\nAssist the Government with responding to ad-hoc command programs and operations, financial management, and budget queries.\n\nConduct data collection to assist in financial records building and coordinate with the financial planning team for the build out of records within the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement system (CCaRs).\n\nActive Secret clearance required.\n\nBachelor's degree and 3-9 years related finance/budget experience\n\nExperience in budgeting and/or analysis within DoD and/or governmental organizations; 2-3 years working with DAI preferred.\n\nDirect DOD or Military budget experience/background.\n\nPrevious experience working with a command (preferably USAF or Army) desired.\n\nExperience with analytical methods and techniques such as cost-benefit analysis, Zero Base Budgeting (ZBB), amortization, depreciation, pro-rating revenues and costs among customer, planning-programming-budgeting, program evaluation review technique (PERT), and management by objectives.\n\nStrong background with Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMs) or Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) budget system preferred\n\nExperience monitoring execution.\n\nUnderstanding with mid-year review and spend plans.\n\nAbility to provide sound advice, technical guidance to program and project staff.\n\nAbility to manage competing tasks.\n\nEasily works within and across teams.\n\nFamiliar working with technical professionals and other SMEs.\n\nStrong meeting coordination and facilitation skills.\n\nExperience working in a complex cyberspace operation and/or multi-stakeholder environment desired.\n\nFamiliar with Power BI and other data visualization tools desired.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Analygence","rawCompany":"analygence","city":"Quantico","state":"VA","isRemote":false,"isActive":true,"createdAt":"2026-09-04T03:28:01.575Z","occupations":[{"code":"13-2031.00","title":"Budget Analysts","slug":"budget-analysts"},{"code":"11-3031.01","title":"Treasurers and Controllers","slug":"treasurers-and-controllers"},{"code":"13-2099.00","title":"Financial Specialists, All Other","slug":"financial-specialists-all-other"}],"industries":[{"code":"928110","title":"National Security","slug":"national-security"},{"code":"921130","title":"Public Finance Activities","slug":"public-finance-activities"},{"code":"921190","title":"Other General Government Support","slug":"other-general-government-support"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Budget Analyst","description":"Tharros has an immediate opportunity for a Budget Analyst to join our team.
